The 10 year warranty offered by Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. warrants to you, the owner of the original installation of the Natural Stone or Engineered countertop, that under the following terms and conditions, Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. at its discretion, will replace without charge, your natural stone or engineered countertop, provided that Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. determines that the product has failed due to any defects in fabrication or installation. This warranty is not transferable, and is only applicable to the original owner or purchaser of the product. This warranty does not cover damage caused by physical abuse (scratches, chips, breaks etc.), any chemical abuse (use only mild soap and water) stains, watermarks (rings from hard water etc) etching, acts of nature and normal wear and tear. If during or after installation, you decide that you do not approve of the material you selected or the natural colour variation and veining of your natural stone or engineered product, the installation or replacement is not covered by this warranty. This warranty does not cover the natural characteristics of stone, which include, but are not limited to colour variations, fissures or surface pits, and natural blemishes. This warranty covers seam performance, but not the appearance of the seam. Seam and stone failure due to settling or structural issues unrelated to the countertop installation are not covered. Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. will repair any area of the installation that is determined by Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. to be defective. Stonex Granite & Quartz Inc. will pay for the cost of product and labour involved in removal and replacement of the original countertop.
Care & Maintenance
It’s easy to keep your granite and quartz countertops looking new as the day they were installed, with these easy tips. Clean the surface with a mild soap and water. Do Not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals and solvents such as oven and dishwasher cleaner on surface. If they do come in contact with your countertops rinse thoroughly with warm clean water. Products containing oils or powders may leave residue on the countertops and should be rinsed off thoroughly. Do Not place hot materials on countertops use trivets or mats under any hot dishes. Also place mats under ceramics, silver or other objects that could scratch the surface, use coasters under all cups and glasses to prevent stains and watermarks. With granite countertops resealing them every 1-2 years is recommended. Your granite countertop is sealed at the time of install, keep in mind it is only a protective measure. Due to it being a natural product oils, acid, etc. can absorb into the stone if left on for a long period of time. If spilled on your counter they must be wiped up promptly.
