Silky soft

An absolutely beautiful organic-looking stone, soapstone feels soft to the touch and develops a beautiful patina as it ages. This is helped along by rubbing it with mineral oil, which gives the stone a lovely sheen.

Soapstone is a naturally occurring material typically sourced from the Appalachian mountain range, Brazil and Finland. It is a soft stone prone to etching and scratching, but minor scratches can be fixed with light honing. Contact the fabricator prior to fixing any scratches to ensure you have the right product and procedure.
